Ajit Singh Deol was an actor who was active in the industry from 1969 to 1995. He was also a producer and was known for his works, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘Meherbani’, and several more. Unfortunately, he passed away on 23rd October 2015 in Mumbai.

As a child, Ajit was born in Nasrali, a small village located in Ludhiana, Punjab. He was raised by his parents, Kewal Krishan, who was a professional headmaster of a school, and Satwant Kaur, a homemaker. Ajit was raised in a Punjabi Sikh Jatt family, and as a child, he had an older brother named Dharmendra. While growing up, he was interested in acting just like his brother and had a passion for the same for several years. He did not have any sisters.

Dharmendra was working on films of his own.

He acted in movies such as ‘Barsaat’ in 1995, ‘Insaaf Ka Suraj’ in 1990, ‘Pyaar Ke Do Chaar Din’ in 1987, ‘Faasle’ in 1985, and several more. Ajit’s career was not confined to acting, and this made him stand apart from the rest of the members of the Deol family. It was not an unknown fact that the industry veteran actor had been silently facing a lot of health issues for several years. He had been battling issues with gallbladder complications, but no one knows the origin of the case. We do know that he had been suffering for several months. 

After a long, painful period of health issues, Ajit finally left his body on 23rd October 2015. His funeral was held at Pawan Hans Crematorium grounds in Suburban Juhu. His family members and close relatives attended. Bobby, Sunny, Abhay, and Dharmendra were specifically present, and so were Ajit’s other family members.
