However, being photographed vaping doesn’t necessarily mean a celebrity still vapes today. Habits change, and a public appearance only captures a particular moment. With that in mind, here are some famous faces who have publicly used or been associated with vaping.
- Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the celebrities most commonly associated with vaping. The Oscar-winning actor has been photographed using e-cigarettes on several occasions, including at major Hollywood events.
His association with vaping dates back to the earlier generations of e-cigarettes, long before today’s compact disposable devices and vape e liquids became commonplace. His high-profile appearances with vaping devices have subsequently made him a regular feature in discussions about celebrity vaping.

Katherine Heigl famously discussed electronic cigarettes during a 2010 appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Why Does Celebrity Vaping Attract Attention?
Celebrity vaping receives attention partly because famous people can influence fashion and lifestyle trends, even when they aren’t deliberately promoting something. Seeing an actor or musician with a vape isn’t the same as that celebrity endorsing vaping. Nevertheless, repeated appearances of e-cigarettes in entertainment and celebrity culture can contribute to discussions about how vaping is perceived, particularly among younger audiences. Those appearances offer an interesting glimpse into how vaping has become part of modern pop culture, but they shouldn’t be interpreted as health advice or proof of anyone’s current habits.
